This is not an app. That's right. The download link goes to a regular URL on the tamilcube.com website. TamilCube is a resource website for the Tamil language. This sub-domain is an online dictionary that can translate back and forth between English and Tamil.
One other thing that it can do is return the Tamil word form of any number. There are also audio samples but only in English. That was a disappointment since the site itself is in English, so supposedly it's geared towards English speakers.
Now, without reviewing the entire site, I should at least describe it in general terms. TamilCube is geared towards learning Tamil. It provides links toward online tuition, shop for language learning materials and games while also having pages that help test your aptitudes. What's more, there are also similar dictionary pages for eleven other languages including Sanskrit, Hindi, Bengali and Arabic.
Having a web URL disguised as an app might seem like cheating and I guess it is. However, there's nothing stopping you to create a springboard web shortcut on your mobile device. However if you were hoping for a real app, then you might be pleased to know that there is aTamilCube School app available on the PlayStore. That one seems to be geared towards younger learners, but since you are clearly in need of a dictionary that would not be such a big problem, now would it?
- Well, technically this is not an app
You are better off using this link instead of Google Translate, but ultimately, the web resources on TamilCube.com are much much more than just this simple dictionary.
